Employer Information, Registration and Attendance Policies

Please join our 2020 Virtual Career Fair to be held between September and November! The Virtual Career Fair will provide an opportunity for students interested in actuarial careers to interact exclusively with actuarial employers.

This event is guaranteed to be a major success by drawing attendance from our approximately 250+ Actuarial Science majors, as well as our active UCSB Actuarial Association members, and other UCSB students from all majors with an enormous interest in the profession! The event is open to all major departments as well as student organizations and clubs. If you are interested in hiring from a bright, talented, and diverse group of employees, the Virtual Career Fair will assist you in meeting that goal.

Event Details

Please schedule a time for an info session for your company by emailing aa.ucsb@gmail.com, or yuxinwang@ucsb.edu (Chloe Wang, President of UCSB Actuarial Association).
Where: Zoom

Program

Instead of the traditional form of one-day Career Fair, we will hold virtual info sessions followed by Q&A sessions for each company.

Our primary platform to hold all events will be over Zoom. We will set up the Zoom meetings for companies at your scheduled time, and your recruiters can join in the session either by the hosting account we provided, or using your account, and we can transfer the host to you. Please contact us for more details and a test trial if needed. A recommended length would be 30-60mins for the info session, with an additional 30mins Q&A session.

After the info session, you can set up virtual interviews with a selected list of students with your method and platform. We will provide our registered companies a student resume booklet by the 2nd week of school starts (October 12th - October 16th). Or we can set up an additional open chatting session for our students to chat with the recruiters if needed, and this will also be held over Zoom. If you want to work with other formats and platforms for either the info session or the chatting session, please contact us and we’re delighted to listen to your ideas.
